Sarabeth's Bakery

(Playing with our food)

I'm thrilled to finally take you, our fine readers, on a little field trip. I recently took my first ever trip to New York City, and I can't believe it took me so long to get there! I loved every minute of it. My boyfriend and I made quick weekend trip there and tried to squeeze in as much as we possibly could. So after darting off to Chelsea Market, and eating the most delicious vegetarian chili at The Green Table, we stopped by Sarabeth's Bakery for a sweet treat.

You walk in and get to see everything being made (although I think we stopped in during their lunch break) and then are greeted by cases of fresh baked goodies and stacks of jams. Everything looked so incredibly good, we had a hard time deciding what to get. If only we hadn't just finished lunch!

We settled on an iced gingerbread cookie and a chocolate dipped orange apricot cookie. Very good choices if I may say so myself, they were both delicious. The marmalade in the orange cookie was perfect and you can actually buy jars of it in the shop. Sarabeth's has several locations and I highly recommend you stop by if you ever run across one. You won't regret it!

  1. I LOVE Chelsea Market! When I lived in NYC for the summer, I was only a few blocks away and spent almost every weekend there! I've never heard of this bakery, but it looks AMAZING and will have to tell my NYC friends to go stuff their faces there!
